FUNCTION CALCULATIONS


Mathematical Operators
Mathematical operators used are:
Writing Sample:

= 500 + 350 (then press enter)

= 256-128

= 64 * 2

= 512 / 4

= 8 ^ 3

= 5%


In writing the formula in excel is not interested in small letters (lower chase) or capital letters (upper chase)!

1. Function Sum (.......)
Sum function is used to sum a set of data on a range. Forms of writing: = SUM (number1, number2, ... ...)
Press Enter (for the manual without looking at the variable cel. Using a "coma")

®Example: = SUM (4,8,9)
Press Enter (for auto per range cell, ie from cel A1 to A20. Using the "point two")

®Example: = SUM (A1: A20)
Press Enter (for random cel. Using dashes "semicolon")

®Example: = SUM (A1; B2; D3)

for further, use of dashes for the writing of the same cell in the formula ones!


2. Function Product (... ....)


Product functions are used to perform the multiplication of data collection on a range. Forms of writing: = PRODUCT (number1, number2, ....)

®Example: = PRODUCT (4,5,2)

®Example: = PRODUCT (A1: A20)

Press Enter

®Example: = PRODUCT (A1; B2; D3)


3. Function Max (.......)


Max function is used to find the highest value from a set of data (range). Form of writing is: = MAX (number1, number2, ... ...)

®Example: = MAX (14,25,21)


4. Function Min (.......)

Min function is used to find the lowest value of the collection of data (range). Form of writing is: = MIN (number1, number2, ... ...)

®Example: = MIN (40,5,2)


5. Function Count (... ...)


Count function is used to calculate the amount of data from a selected range. Form of writing is: = COUNT (value1, value2, ... ..)

®Example: = COUNT (2,2,2,2,2,2,2)


8. Round function (.......)


ROUND function is used to round off numbers to a certain digit. Form of writing is: = ROUND (numbers, num_digits)

®Example: = ROUND (123.4567,1)


9. Function sqrt (... ....)


Sqrt function is used to generate a square root value of an integer. Form of writing is: = SQRT (number)



®Example: = SQRT (9) Press Enter


10. Function Power (... ...)


Power functions are used to produce a number of raised. Form of writing is: = Power (number, power)

Press Enter

®Example: = POWER (6.2)


11. Function Sumsq (... ....)


Sumsq function is used for a number of arguments mempangkatduakan and gives the number of powers. Forms of writing are:

= SUMSQ (number1, number2, ...)

Example: = SUMSQ (3.4) 32 + 9 + 42 = 16 = 25


12. Function Average (... ...)


Average function is used to calculate the values of the average. Form of writing is: = AVERAGE (number1, number2, ...)
